Tinghir
Located in the middle of the Todra oasis, at an altitude of 1,300 metres, between the mountain ranges of the High Atlas and the Djebel Saghro. The city is 170 km from Ouarzazate.
History
Ksar Ait lhaj Ali
The old ksar (fortified village) of Tinghir still retains a good part of its houses built in pisé, i.e. compacted earth. It is commonly called the Jewish quarter, even if the Jews only occupy a street with a few dead ends. The ksar is being restored since 2013.
